Summer is the best time to drive half way across the country and visit family in Manitoba. It was a first for Jazz; first time to drive 12 hours + in one day, and first time for him to meet my family there.
Jazz taking the wheel.
The first stop: Medicine Hat, Alberta
The second stop: Regina, Saskatchewan
Almost there: Winnipeg...45 more minutes until Steinbach.
Oh, we're there! There's Friesen Ave!
We had a wonderful welcome with a gathering on Sunday. Here's Uncle Smoky, Uncle Marty and cousin Connery.
Here's Auntie Bettie and Uncle Allen
Here's Meranda and Tony with their baby Margeux.
Monday we had dinner with more cousins and their growing families!
Now to show all the relaxation.
Grandma had finger lickin' good butta suppe ready for me right away! YUM!
We really enjoyed chillin' out and reading in the backyard every morning.
This is the most peaceful place I know on earth.
What perspective!
Grandma also made us a pie! YUM again!
And we sat back and played a lot of Skipbo!
Grandma treated us to a day at the Mennonite museum.
Lots of learning and a little playing!
Weeeee!
I love my grandma!!!!
And my husband!!!!
